In loving memory...

Yousuf “Rustam” Khan passed away the morning of March 25th 2025 with his close family by his side. He fought a long and painful battle but in the end cancer won. His journey through life was filled with experiences, relations and spirituality without compare. In his early twenties “Rustam” was approached to star in a playing a small role of the “villain”. He quickly came a household name as acting in a series of films and TV-series in the Pakistani film industry. His role in the hit movie “Ishq” won him the ”Pakistani Nigar award” for best actor in 1992. Rustam moved to London, UK in the 1990’s but returned a couple of years later to Pakistan. Here he continued his acting career and while filming the hit TV-series "Koi Tou Ho" for ARY Digital, he met his Norwegian wife. In 2008 he relocated to Norway, starting a new life in a new culture learning a new language and starting from scratch. He and his wife welcomed their daughter Tamina in 2010. “There’s nothing like Tamina’s smile”, he used to say. “Hjertet mitt” was his term of affection for her. In Norway he embarked on a spiritual journey. He believed in God and humanity. He wrote poetry and lyrics inspired by his experiences with Sufism and also ancient school of wisdom. Even in his darkest hour he never strayed, but always looked ahead towards love, happiness and light. Yousuf “Rustam” Khan will always remain in our hearts as a kind, loving, caring and proud man searching for wisdom and promoting peace all around. Rest in Peace, into the light. Mocci and Tamina (family) LIFE WITHOUT THOUGHT OF DYING We work so hard to fly and no matter what heights we reach our wings get folded near a candle at the end. For nothing can enter God but Himself, our souls are some glorious substance of the Divine that no sentry wants to stop. Live without thought of dying, for dying is not a truth. We have swayed on the sky's limb together, many years there the same leaves grow. But then they get that look in their eyes and bid farewell to what they disdained or cherished. This life He gave the shell, the daily struggles we know, sit quiet for a minute, dear, feel the wind, let Light touch you. Life without thought of dying, for dying is not a truth. (St. Catherine of Siena)
